Whenever I go to a Salvos or any op shop, I pull out the best books and prop them up, hoping someone buys and loves them.
I did this all the time when I worked in a bookstore.
Definitely used to make Jonathan Safran Foer or JD Salinger or Roald Dahl displays when I worked at Chapters. Still do this now at VPL, mostly swapping trash lit display for decent ones.
